Images of Preston graffiti.

It falls where it will.

Images of Preston graffiti lit by the light of our sun. Outdoor light. Natural light. Interrupted, uncontrolled, uncurated light. Nothing inbetween light. The sky itself light. The light that shines on all.

Garage next to a dirt track.

Silo next to the river.

Bridge over the canal.

Underpass next to the recycling centre.

At times the light is sharp. It cuts through the mundane and finds everything beautiful. At times the light is flat. Closing in the depth of our worlds. Yet it falls where it will. No matter what we place there. We turn from our ideas of the unwanted and ugly. Unless we don’t. Unless we follow the light into that which is beautiful. No matter what we think of it. Whether we agree with it or not. Whether the consensus accepts it or not. There is little the light does not love.
